Dean Kakridas
Dean Kakridas was born in 1967 in Arlington, Massachusetts. His father was an immigrant from a small village in Sparta, Greece, who worked as an engineer and small business owner. The family moved to Winchester, Massachusetts (a suburb of Boston), where Dean attended kindergarten, grade school, and High School.

He graduated from Northeastern University in 1990 with a BS Degree in Industrial Engineering. For several years, Dean worked as an engineer in the high technology sector before relocating to Oslo, Norway in 2000 to pursue a new career in Business Development with Opera Software, a startup web browser company. From this point on, life for Dean would never be the same.

In 2004, After living a lifetime of long, dark, cold winters, he moved to sunny Austin, Texas, where the second act of life began. He joined the renowned innovation firm, Frog Design, as Director of Business Development where he works today. In the span of three years in Austin, he got married to a beautiful Persian woman, built a home, and became a father to a sweet little girl. By a stroke of fate, he discovered Stoicism and learned how this powerful life philosophy could enrich every thought and action of each new day.
